| Abstract |
The Baltic GIS portal is hosted by GIS Group of the Institute of Ecology of Vilnius University, which currently acts as GIS/Data Coordination Center of the Baltic Sea Regional Project (HELCOM and ICES). Institute of Ecology of Vilnius University is a member of GISIG (Geographic Information Systems International Group) Association and National Coordinator of GMES (Global Monitoring for Environment and Security). We work in close technical co-operation with HNIT-Baltic Geoinfoservisas private GIS company in Vilnius.
