| Abstract |
This issue highlights the commonality in research on geostatistical and geospatial research on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. The papers are derived from a session on "Geostatistics and Geospatial Techniques for Remote Sensing of Land Surface Processes" held at the RGS-IBG Annual Meeting in Guildford, Surrey, UK, in January 1998 and a similar session held at the Association of American Geographers Annual Meeting in Boston, MA in March 1998 sponsored by the AAG's Remote sensing Group. <p>Guest Editors: P.M.Atkinson and D.A.Quattrochi
