The Return Beam Vidicon Camera (RBV) is one of the instruments aboard the Landsat-1 (more info here), -2 (more info here), -3 (more info here) satellites. Landsat's Global Survey Mission is to establish and execute a data acquisition strategy that ensures repetitive acquisition of observations over the Earth's land mass, coastal boundaries, and coral reefs.
