| Abstract |
Since Remote Sensing being a very useful science and art of obtaining and processing information about the environment in a realiable way, its use has been expanding rapidly among the planners, decision makers, development workers and researchers throughout the world, including Asia-Pacific Region. This project is aimed at supporting the research related to remote sensing in the Asia-Pacific Region by studying about its existing state of use and supporting the current and potential users in providing better service and coordination.
The followings are the objectives of this project:

to promote Remote Sensing research with Japanese satellite data in Asia-Pacific Region
to improve Japanese satellite data distributions systems
to know the problems and needs of existing and potential researchers in hardware, software and satellite data analysis
to provide information about Japanese satellite data to researchers
to facilitate and assist the Remote Sensing researchusing satellite data
