The objective of the annual EARSeL meeting is to bring together all the European remote sensing scientific, research and user organisations and communities in order to enable close contacts and open up channels of communication and information. A key role of EARSeL is to act as an interface between research results and new technologies and their operational applications by user communities. Other scientific aims are to improve the integration of new technologies and new types of remote sensing data as an objective data source for other disciplines and with other data in Geographic Information Systems. Presentations are encouraged related to all fields of remote sensing applications and especially to those listed below, since sessions will be organised according to these topics. There will be special tutorial sessions and a workshop will follow the symposium on: Land Use and Land Cover
