| Abstract |
SEMEFOR is a project approved and financed by the
European Commission as part of the Environment and
Climate program, DG XII. The aim of this pilot project is to
demonstrate satellite based methods for the assessment
of disturbances in European forests, to evaluate the
cost-efficiency and to harmonise the used nomenclature
