Abstract The aim of this conference, commemorating the 30th Anniversary of the UNESCO World Heritage Convention and also 30 years of civilian remote sensing satellites, is to bring together space experts and international experts who contribute towards the conservation efforts of national and world heritage. The opportunity will also be taken to look at the possible and potential educational spin-off which could be derived from the resulting data base.
